- how about you do your bit for global warming, we can supply and fit PV cells (solar panels) that will allow you to generate your own electricity, cutting your electricity bill and reducing the need to burn fossil fuels. In the summer months with modern PV cells you can generate sufficient electricity that you can sell it back to the generating companies, thus reducing your bills further. Note that fitting of PV cells is in some areas is subject to planning approval.

New legislation pertaining to domestic electrical installations:-
- As of the 1 Jan. 05 any work on domestic electrical systems came under the control of The Building Regulations 2000 (Part P), this means that all notifiable work must either be conducted by a Competent Person (certified electrician) or the installer must notify Local Building Control Officer and they will inspect the work for conformity with The Building Regulations.
- In the near future the government is bringing in the Home Sellers Pack, under this scheme the house seller will be required to produce certificates to show that their electrical system meets the requirements of BS7671 (IEE 16th Ed. Wiring Regulations) (the same is true of your gas installation).
